Abstract: In general, quasars have very similar UV-optical continuum. In detail, quasar continuum shows dependence on both luminosity and redshift. In this talk, I would like to introduce a scenario that both the luminosity and redshift dependence of the quasar UV-optical continuum slope are caused by dust. In specific, the `intrinsic dust' of quasars causes the luminosity dependence, whereas the the dust along the line of sight, i.e. cosmic dust, is the reason of the apparent redshift dependence.
