摘要:
European Space Agency's Herschel Infrared Space Observatory was able to
observe the far-infrared bands in 60-600 micron with unprecedented
sensitivity, and generated a large amount of high quality legacy data. I will
first briefly introduce the telescope and the three on-board instruments:
SPIRE, PACS, and HIFI, before presenting some science highlights,
examplifying how cutting-edge science and cutting-edge instrumentation
support each other in top class science missions. For users who are
interested to use Herschel data I will show how to access Herschel Science
Archive and the basics of data processing with Herschel Interactive
Processing Environment.
